Community Account Manager

Title:

Community Account Manager (12 month contract)

Reporting To:

Tracey Killilea, Community Business Manager

Location:

Field based Northern Ireland

Hours Of Work:

37.5 hours per week plus any additional hours required

Purpose (Key areas of role)

Drive the Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition business in Northern Ireland within the market, promoting the Nutricia product range to community health care professionals. Consolidating our position as market leader in a number of disease specific areas. Build relationships with a wide range of health care professionals in the community including nursing homes nurses, public health nurses, practice nurses, GPs, community dietitians and retail pharmacists.

Scope (Region, level of authority, number of employees, etc.)

- Responsible for driving product sales on community territory as measured by IMS data and value sales targets set
- Responsible for hitting activity targets with key HCPs
- Responsible for managing relationships with HCP’s on community territory
- Liaise with Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition head office staff to ensure successful implementation of marketing campaigns
- Help to organise successful HCP educational meetings and study days
- Conduct training sessions on the Nutricia enteral feeding pumps

Organisational Relationships (Internal and external regular contacts)

- Health care professionals and other key influencers working in the community
- Distributors and wholesalers
- Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition Ireland team

Responsibilities (Key deliverables and tasks by which the incumbent will be assessed)

- To promote the Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition range of products through marketing campaigns to:

Community Dietitians
GPs
Nursing Homes
District Nurses
Catering Staff in nursing homes


- Support HCP’s in the community through Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition educational presentations which are in line with our marketing campaigns
- Sales calls may be via one to one calls and appointments, group calls and appointments, meetings and presentations
- Maintain professionalism at all times to maintain Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition reputation
- Regular and at least monthly review of market share figures to target activities
- Liaise with Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition marketing team in the development of successful marketing campaigns by providing insight into customer needs and concerns
- Exhibit Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition product ranges at relevant HCP meetings
- Liaise with Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition team regarding regional educational meetings
- Carry out patient/ family and health care professional training sessions with our enteral feeding pump and pack system as required
- Identify new customers/opportunities to grow the business
- Feedback community market intelligence to help with future marketing campaigns to maintain a competitive edge
- Maintain record of sales activity via Einstein ETMS system and send weekly reports to Head of Sales. Complete annual territory business plan and update regularly
- Update HCP database regularly in conjunction with sales support

Experience (Industry background, years, skills gained, level of experience, etc.)

- Excellent presentation skills are required
- Good report writing skills are required
- An aptitude for selling is required
- A keen interest in nutrition (preferred but not essential)
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Word and PowerPoint
- At least 1-2 years sales experience in a pharmaceutical or health care role (preferred but not essential)
- Must be able to demonstrate success in developing relationships with key medical personnel (preferred but not essential)

Qualifications / Technical Knowledge (Accreditation required)

- Degree in Dietetics
- Degree in Science
- Degree in Human Nutrition
- Nursing qualification

One of the above preferred but not essential.

- An interest in the area of nutrition and an ability to communicate latest developments to the business and market place
- Outgoing and friendly personality who has the ability to function alone and as part of a team
