Purpose


  • Drive the Nutricia Medical business in Ireland within the market, promoting the Nutricia product range to community-based health care professionals (HCPs)

  • Consolidating our position as market leader in a number of disease specific areas

  • Build relationships with a wide range of health care professionals in the community including nursing home nurses, GPs, retail pharmacists, public health nurses and practice nurses

  • Scope


  • Responsible for driving product sales on community territory as measured by IMS market share data and value sales targets set

  • Responsible for hitting activity targets with key HCPs

  • Responsible for managing relationships with HCPs on community territory

  • Liaise with Nutricia Medical head office staff to ensure successful implementation of marketing campaigns

  • Help to organise successful HCP educational meetings and study days

  • Organisational Relationships


  • Health care professionals and other key influencers working in the community

  • Responsibilities


  • To promote the Nutricia Medical range of products through marketing campaigns to:

    - Nursing Home Nurses

    - Public Health Nurses

    - Practice Nurses

    - GPs

    - Catering Staff In Nursing Homes

  • Support HCPs in the community through Nutricia Medical education presentations which are in line with our marketing campaigns

  • Sales calls may be via one to one calls and appointments, group calls and appointments, meetings and presentations

  • Maintain professionalism at all times to maintain Nutricia Medical reputation

  • Regular and at least monthly review of market share figures to target activities

  • Liaise with Nutricia Medical marketing team in the development of successful marketing campaigns by providing insight into customer needs and concerns

  • Exhibit Nutricia Medical product ranges at relevant HCP meetings

  • Liaise with Nutricia Medical team regarding regional educational meetings

  • Identify new customers/opportunities to grow the business

  • Feedback community market intelligence to help with future marketing campaigns to maintain a competitive edge

  • Maintain record of sales activity via Veeva ETMS system and communicate weekly reports to Community Business Manager

  • Complete annual territory business plan and update regularly

  • Update HCP database regularly in conjunction with sales support

  • Experience


  • Excellent presentation skills are required

  • An aptitude for selling is required

  • A keen interest in nutrition (preferred but not essential)

  • Good reporting writing skills are required

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Word and PowerPoint

  • At least 1-2 years sales experience in a pharmaceutical or health care sales role

  • Must be able to demonstrate success in development relationships with key meidcal personnel

  • Qualifications / Technical Knowledge

  • Degree in Science

  • Degree in Business Studies

  • Degree in Human Nutrition / Dietetics

  • Nursing Qualification
