INDI Launches Nourish Ireland Week 2014

Do I have IBS or am I Coeliac? Why won’t my child eat? How will my diet help with managing my Type 2 Diabetes? Does my daughter have an eating disorder? How can my diet help when I’m getting older? These are just some of the topics being addressed during the upcoming Nourish Ireland Week campaign which kicked off this week.

The initiative, which is the brainchild of the Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute (INDI), is offering free nutrition talks on a wide range of subjects with a particular focus on both Adult and Paediatric conditions. Interim CEO, Richelle Flanagan, explains, “We want to improve the Nation’s health through food and nutrition which is why we are offering free nutrition talks for the public on a range of topics that cover nutritional issues for children such as Weaning, Fussy Eaters, Allergies & Intolerances, and Eating Disorders and for adults Healthy Ageing, Diet and its role in the prevention and reoccurrence of cancer, managing Type 2 Diabetes through good nutrition and improving performance for Sports enthusiasts through diet and nutrition.”

Nourish Week 2014The Nourish Ireland Week public events take place in Dublin’s Clyde Court Hotel, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 on Monday 9th June. The Cork venue is the Silver Springs Moran Hotel in Cork city on Thursday 12th June.
