Description

Fortisip Compact is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. Fortisip Compact is a nutritionally complete, 2.4kcal/ml, milkshake style oral nutritional supplement, for the dietary management of disease related malnutrition. A 125ml bottle contains 300kcals and 12g protein, and can be used to supplement the diet of patients unable to meet their nutritional requirements from other foods,or used as a sole source of nutrition. Available in 7 flavours: Strawberry, Vanilla, Chocolate, Banana, Forest Fruits, Apricot and Mocha.

Contraindications

Not for intravenous use. Not suitable for children under 3 years. Use with caution in children aged 3 - 6 years.

Precautions

Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.

Suggested Intake

Fortisip Compact is best served chilled. Shake well before opening.

Preparation & Administration

Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition in children under 6 years of age. Monitor fluid intake to ensure adequate hydration status.

Fortisip Compact is best served chilled. Shake well before opening.

Product Storage

Store in a cool dry place (5 - 25ºC). Once opened, Fortisip Compact should be consumed within 4 hours or stored in a refrigerator for 24 hours. Discard unused contents thereafter.

Shelf Life

9 months. Best before date: see side of bottle.
