Description

Nutrison Energy Multi Fibre is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. Nutrison Energy Multi Fibre is a 1.53kcal/ml tube feed enriched with 1.5g/100ml of Multi Fibre. Nutrison Energy Multi Fibre is designed for the dietary management of disease related malnutrition in patients with increased energy and protein requirements and/or requiring fluid restriction.

Suitable as a sole source of nutrition for adults and children over 6 years of age.

Indications and Prescribability

For enteral use only. GMS listed. ACBS approved, prescribable on form FP10 for the following indications: short bowel syndrome; intractable malabsorption; preoperative preparation of undernourished patients; inflammatory bowel disease; total gastrectomy; dysphagia; disease related malnutrition.

Contraindications

Not for intravenous use. Not suitable for infants under 1 year of age.Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia or patients requiring a fibre free diet.

Precautions

Use with caution in children aged 1-6 years.

Directions for Use

Shake well before opening immediately prior to use at room temperature. Maximum hanging time 24 hours.

Product Storage

Store in a cool, dry place (5 - 25°C) and away from direct sunlight. Once opened, store in a refrigerator (<5°C) if not being used and any unused contents discarded after 24 hours.

Shelf Life

Glass bottle: 15 months; Pack: 12 months.
Best before date: see top of pack or side of glass label.
