Meet the Dietetic Resource Centre team

Noreen Roche – Head of Nutrition

Noreen joined Nutricia Medical in 1999 as the first dietitian to work solely in the provision of support services to healthcare professionals. Since this time she has spearheaded the development of the Nutricia Dietetic Resource Centre which is now the largest dedicated company supported dietetic service for healthcare professionals in Ireland. Before joining Nutricia Noreen worked as a dietitian in the Ulster Hospital in Belfast, and Beaumont Hospital in Dublin as a Senior dietitian in the areas of renal dialysis and transplant, haematology and ENT. Noreen has an interest in all areas of nutrition support, particularly in the development of guidelines and policy to promote the appropriate screening and management of individuals at risk of malnutrition in Ireland.

Carole Wrixon – Dietitian

Carole Wrixon joined Nutricia in 2012. Prior to this she worked in a variety of acute and community settings across the NHS in the UK, including home enteral feeding and prescribing support. During this time she completed her MSc in Crohns disease. Following this, she worked in an acute capacity covering ICU and general wards in Wexford General Hospital and in the Weight Management Service in St. Columcille's Hospital, Loughlinstown. She is a member of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute and her primary responsibilities are related to the BestCare program and nutrition support in diabetes, respiratory diseases, hepatic and gastrointestinal disease.

Anne O'Grady – Dietitian

Anne has worked as a dietitian with Nutricia Medical since 2004. Prior to this she worked as a clinical dietitian for seven years in the UK, the Adelaide & Meath, incorporating the National Children’s Hospital in Tallaght (Tallaght Hospital) and St James Hospital, Dublin. In St James Hospital she worked as a senior dietitian in gastroenterology where her primary responsibility was the provision of dietetic support to gastroenterology, hepatology and coeliac patients. She also worked as a student training coordinator. Her areas of interest include the nutritional support of adults at risk of malnutrition, metabolics and gastroenterology.

Edel Duffy – Dietitian

Edel has worked with Nutricia Medical since 2007. After qualifying in 2000 Edel worked in St. James's Hospital Dublin for a number of years providing dietetic support in oncology, care of the elderly, general surgery and then specialising in upper GI surgery. She completed a PhD in Trinity College under the supervision of Prof. Mike Gibney before joining the team of Dietitians at Nutricia Medical. Edel has still an active interest in nutrition and dietetic research in addition to nutrition support, malnutrition and diabetes.

Suzanne Beattie – Dietitian

After qualifying in Dietetics from University of Ulster in Coleraine, Suzanne worked in acute hospitals based in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland covering both inpatient and outpatient services, mainly in the areas of oncology, respiratory and gastroenterology. Suzanne joined Nutricia Medical as a Dietitian in September 2008 and currently her primary responsibilities are related to nutrition support in paediatrics and care of the elderly, including training and assistance with the implementation of nutritional screening in residential care. Suzanne is a member of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute.

Eve Morrissey – Medical Administrator

Eve joined Nutricia in 2006 as Medical Administrator after working for 5 years as PA / Medical Administrator in a nursing home in South County Dublin. Eve is usually the first voice you hear when you call the Dietetic Resource Centre and she co-ordinates all requests for samples and literature, and general enquiries.
