Aptamil Hydrolysed Nutriprem

Aptamil Hydrolysed Nutriprem is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for the dietary management of preterm and low birth weight infants who require hydrolysed protein. Hydrolysed Nutriprem contains extensively hydrolysed protein, which may be suitable for preterm infants who have a compromised ability to break down or absorb whole proteins or who are not tolerating standard preterm formulas. Hydrolysed Nutriprem preterm formula has been developed and formulated in line with the ESPGHAN 2010 recommendations for infants weighing 1-1.8kg. It contains milk fat, which is currently not contained in other preterm formulas in the UK, long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (AA & DHA), nucleotides, vitamins and minerals to meet the requirements of preterm infants, which should reduce the need for additional nutrient supplementation. Not suitable for intravenous use. Aptamil Hydrolysed Nutriprem should only be used under the close medical supervision of a Dietitian or Neonatologist. The levels of most vitamins and minerals in Aptamil Hydrolysed Nutriprem are higher than in infant milks and additional supplements are not usually necessary.

All Aptamil products carry preparation instructions. Please see packaging for further information. The hydrolysed nature of this product means the contents will settle, so the bottle needs to be shaken well before use.

Once opened, unused milk can be kept refrigerated for max. 8 hours. For hygiene reasons, if fed from the 90ml ready-to-feed bottle, discard contents within 1 hour of opening. Store ready-to-feed bottles in a cool, dry place away from sunlight before opening.
