Protifar

Protifar is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. Protifar is a powdered, unflavoured, high protein supplement for the dietary management of patients with hypoproteinaemia. It can also be used as a protein supplement for those unable to meet their protein requirements from regular dietary intake or for patients with increased protein requirements, e.g. burns, wound healing. A level scoop holds 2.5g powder.

Not suitable for patients requiring a protein restricted diet. Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia.

Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Only to be used as a supplement to the normal diet. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age.

Protifar has a neutral taste and can therefore be added to both sweet and savoury food or drink without significantly altering flavour or texture. It is also suitable for use in cooking. Protifar should be mixed with sufficient cold liquid to form a smooth paste before stirring into food or drink. Use only the scoop provided in the packaging. Scoop Weight: 1 level scoop provides 2.5g of powder.

Concentrated cow’s milk protein, emulsifier (soy lecithin). Allergy Advice: For allergens, see ingredients in bold.

15 months. Best before date: see bottom of pack or back of sachet.

Keep sealed and store in a dry, cool place (5-25°C). Do not refrigerate. Once opened, use contents within 1 month. Replace lid firmly after use. Prepare the food per serving and use within 2 hours. Always discard unfinished solutions.
