The presentation begins with a background to palliative care and principles to consider when delivering children’s palliative care. Following this, the importance of nutrition in palliative care is discussed and the challenges that may occur when a patient is on the KD. Two case studies are then presented and are discussed with the audience. The session concludes with a presentation on the role of psychology in palliative care and for those on the KD.
