Hospital malnutrition is a well-documented clinical issue and is associated with adverse clinical outcomes, including increased morbidity and mortality³.

Plant-based medical nutrition solutions can offer important choice to patients which can help address patient preferences and values, ultimately helping to improve adherence to nutritional treatment⁴, ⁵. 

However, providing additional nutritional support for vegan patients with disease related malnutrition is more challenging⁶. 

Research with healthcare professionals has shown 16% of patients requiring medical nutrition seek plant-based options⁶.
