IDDSI Made Simple with Dysphagia Chef Niamh Condon

Empower your catering teams to learn how to create safe and appetising foods that will appeal to people living with dysphagia. 

The first talk by Orla Lehane, Speech and Language Therapist, will address the basics of dysphagia, the implications for patients if food is not prepared correctly, and The International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) in detail.

The main body of the event will comprise of cooking demonstrations by experienced Dysphagia Chef Niamh Condon who will discuss the importance of the role of chefs along with simple tips on presentation of dishes to improve compliance.  

This is an opportunity for catering teams to come and learn from one of the best dysphagia chefs, they’ll be guided through an IDDSI level 4 roast beef dinner tutorial, supported with time management and learn more about hydration.  

Attendees will be able to get all their questions answered with a live Q&A at the end of the event.
